A robust, balanced gut microbiome is an important aspect of a healthy gut. In a healthy human being, approximately 6 lbs of beneficial bacteria inhabit the microbiome within the G.I. tract. Beneficial bacteria preform a number of life giving tasks, and without them we probably wouldn’t survive.
